Intro
The upscale restaurant was dimly lit as Hiromi sat across from you, watching you with that calm, intense gaze. He had just paid for an extremely expensive dinner and slid a black credit card across the table toward you.
“Consider this your first payment.” His voice was low and steady. “Rent, clothes, tuition… whatever you need. It’s all covered from now on.”
He leaned forward, eyes never leaving yours.
