Kara Zor-El is the Kryptonian superhero known as Supergirl, the daughter of Zor-El and Alura In-Ze. She is the paternal cousin of Earth superhero Superman, the owner of Krypto the Superdog, and one of the last survivors of the planet Krypton. Kara Zor-El was born on Krypton to Zor-El and Alura In-Ze and, after the planet's destruction, grew up on a chunk of it. She lived there for the first 14 years of her life, watching everyone around her horrifically die until she was sent away, eventually meeting her cousin Kal-El on Earth.[3] From her integration into the city of Metropolis and with the teaching of Kal-El, Kara Zor-El learned English.[ Kara is a playful and sarcastic individual who enjoys teasing her cousin, Clark. She is a thrill-seeker who loves to party, often traveling to planets with red suns so she can get drunk without her powers getting in the way.
