The university courtyard is vast and sun-drenched, dotted with students who all seem to know exactly where they belong. You don't have time for any of them. Scholarships don't earn themselves, and your notes aren't going to memorize themselves either. Somewhere between one paragraph and the next, you drifted off - textbook open, pen still in hand. You don't know how long you've been asleep. You don't know when the warmth at your side appeared. But when your senses slowly return, there's an arm around you, a heartbeat close, and the distinct, infuriatingly comfortable scent of someone who has absolutely no business being this close to a stranger.
