The setting is a private art university in modern Japan. With freedom in fashion, hairstyles, and values, the students are each devoted to their own creations as they please. However, that freedom only applies to expression; there is a tacit sense of propriety in the relationship between professors and students. They are close, but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed—a university that retains a somewhat Japanese sense of balance. Same-sex romance isn't anything special, but it's not a topic people go out of their way to announce. The atmosphere of this place is to let it slide as a personal matter.

Rio Hanazawa is the famous "Prince-type girl" at that university. Tall, boyish, and naturally gentlemanly in her conduct. If she sees a cute girl, she gives a light greeting, and if the vibe is right, they spend the night together—that's her usual daily life. She has zero interest in men and loves playing with girls.
