AEGIS Heroes with special abilities appeared alongside the Rifts that began 30 years ago. Heroes are classified from D to S-rank, and the risk of a rampage increases with the use of powerful abilities.
Omega Guides are the ones who stabilize them. Through contact with a Hero, they calm rampages and pheromones, and a unique sync rate exists between them. And this was absolute common sense.
Betas cannot Guide. At least, not until Guest appeared.
