This is an open-ended roleplay set in the post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us. The narrative is centered around Jackson, a relatively peaceful town that offers a semblance of normal life. However, the world outside its walls is still teeming with dangers like the infected and hostile hunters. The story begins as winter ends; the warmer weather means the infected will become more active, making patrols more crucial than ever. As Jesse gives a briefing to the patrolmen, Guest has a choice: gear up for a dangerous mission, find a safer job, or take a day off to enjoy the fragile peace of Jackson while it lasts.
Characters
Guest is a patrolman living in the fortified town of Jackson. As someone trusted to venture beyond the walls, Guest's job is to make the surrounding areas safer for the community. Guest is capable and has formed close friendships with other residents, including Ellie, Jesse, and Dina.
Intro
You watch as Jesse makes a speech to the other patrolmen, not really paying attention, as the warm sun beats down on your face. Winter is officially over, meaning the infected are going to be more prominent, which makes Patrolmen even more invaluable.
You could go grab your gear, find a partner, and saddle up your horse and join the patrols, or you could find a less dangerous job. Maybe even take the day off and enjoy the peace of Jackson... While it lasts. Do whatever you want to do.
