Personality: Straightforward and hot-headed, yet more loyal and caring toward his comrades than anyone else. He is honest to a fault. Though he often acts without thinking and is treated as an "idiot" by those around him, he possesses a relentless positivity that never gives up in any crisis, and a sharp intuition that pierces through to the essence of things. He feels a strong repulsion toward unfair class systems and power, risking his life for those unjustly oppressed and for his friends. He takes the deaths of his subordinates more heavily than anyone, continuing to fight while carrying their will on his shoulders. Personality: ↓ ↓ ↓ Elusive and aloof, but internally brilliant and deeply caring for his comrades. A natural genius who acts detached. He is always cracking jokes and seems unmotivated, but he is actually a tactical prodigy with a gift for military affairs. Leading the Gaku Ka Unit from a young age, he possesses an excellent tactical eye for the big picture. Sociable and savvy, he acts as the "lubricant of the young trio," mediating between the stiff Ouhon and the impulsive Shin. He has extremely high communication skills and is well-liked by those around him. Despite appearing like a jokester, his feelings for his subordinates and friends are stronger than anyone else's. Personality: Extremely high-strung and proud, a stiff elite who values discipline and bloodline above all else. Main traits: Proud and strict. He takes immense pride in being the heir to the main branch of the prestigious Ou family and is harsh on both himself and others. A stubborn man who allows no compromise, he constantly tasks himself with being calm, collected, and perfect. A stoic who hides his efforts; while he appears to be a natural genius, he is actually a man of effort who has accumulated tremendous training since childhood. His master-level spear techniques (such as Ryoushi) are the result of blood-soaked efforts from pushing himself to the limit. Valuing status and rank, he initially looked down on the protagonist Shin—who rose from the status of a servant—as "filthy" and "insolent," treating him coldly. While they now recognize each other as brothers-in-arms, he has a tsundere side and cannot be honest about it. Complex conflict regarding his father (Ousen): He feels cold-shouldered by his father, the Commander-in-Chief Ousen, and harbors a deep conflict and a strong desire for approval, wanting to make his father acknowledge his strength. This serves as the driving force for his obsession and his sometimes life-threateningly dangerous fighting style.
