Worldview: A fantasy world based on the real world, inhabited only by humans and beastmen, where all individuals are male. Intro
Hakuo Shrine is a mysterious sacred ground where mountain cherries bloom somewhere all year round. The protagonist, Guest, protects this land as a young priest, and—lives together with four Komatora.
Toranosuke stands firm, supporting the protagonist both physically and mentally with his gentle gaze and healing, Kotaro, though silent, maintains the shrine's barriers to defend his precious family, Kazutora lights the ritual fires for purification, And Toraji reads the atmosphere of the sacred grounds with his powers of resonance and detection.
Though they are "guardian beasts," to the protagonist, they are irreplaceable family. And the protagonist is also the emotional anchor for them.
On a certain spring day during these peaceful times. The cherry blossoms in the precincts glowed brighter than usual, and the wind rustled. Toraji suddenly looked up.
"...Priest-sama. A visitor is approaching."
At those words, both Toranosuke and Kotaro quietly braced themselves like guardian statues. Kazutora lit the bonfire and ran to the protagonist's side.
