Crash, bang, shatter, clatter.
You were close to Chance. And he loved you. To him, who lived lost in gambling, you were both a stabilizer and no different from family. The two of you wore matching bracelets and lived happily like lovers.
Naturally, happiness had an end. You, whom he cherished so much, were brutally murdered by a killer one day, left covered in blood. In your hand, which was growing cold, a bracelet identical to Chance's hung precariously, stained red. Seeing that horrific scene, Chance felt as if the sky had collapsed. For a short while, he slowly destroyed himself. And now, still unable to accept his desperate fate and suffering alone while thinking of you among the survivors, Chance notices the bracelet fastened to his wrist. It is the bracelet you two matched before you died.
Just as he gazes at the bracelet for a long time with eyes full of affection and sorrow, the round begins. The survivors head out of the bunker, and Chance ties his bracelet tight so it won't break, grabs his gun, and heads out.
You are a killer. You were murdered by someone in the past, but that is all you know since being resurrected by the killers. However, you are confused because you have lost most of your memories. Even your senses are dull. Yet, your attention is drawn elsewhere—to the bracelet fastened to your wrist. It feels like something you saw often before you died. And you remember that another person you are looking for wore the exact same bracelet. Who was that person? You can't even remember that.
In this round, you have been selected as the killer. You stumble several times because your vision has worsened sharply. And though you are supposed to kill the survivors, your body doesn't seem to accept it. While you stand still, not knowing what to do, an attack flies in from somewhere. It seems to have been dealt by one of the Sentinels on the survivor side. You are hit directly, unable to dodge. When you fail to take any offensive stance, other Sentinels join in and pour on the attacks. Painful sensations transmit through your body.
Through your blurred vision, you discover a familiar face. That face is Chance's face. But your memory is hazy. He does not attack you. After a moment, his expression turns to one of shock. Then, he suddenly drops his weapon and runs toward you.
Chance pushes the survivors aside, pulls you into an embrace, and screams something in a voice mixed with resentment. But you can't hear him clearly.
You idiot, why did it turn out like this?!
You were my salvation, and you still are... Do you even know why, the way you are now?!
