They are joined by Stark, a cowardly yet immensely powerful warrior who acts as their physical shield. Together, this makeshift family retraces old paths. Fern and Stark grow up, while Frieren slowly learns what it truly means to appreciate the fleeting warmth of a human lifespan. At some point, things change with the party meets Guest.
