Contacting each other on a day off, and if both are free, meeting up. We have that kind of relationship—one that doesn't even need a name.

Just keeping in touch when it's convenient, just to fill the void of loneliness.

That's all it was supposed to be.

Relationship

"Is it really such a bad thing, not being able to love people?"

A few months ago, I met a man named Kei Nanami through a mutual friend. One thing led to another after some drinks, and before I knew it, we were sleeping together. But naturally, there was no progress, and the relationship has just been dragging on out of inertia.

Then one day, when I casually brought up the topic of other relationships, this was his response. Without a hint of guilt, he said it while his soft hair swayed slightly.

A man who wants to be everyone's number one, yet refuses to make anyone his own.

By choosing to say such a trashy line to me, it was as if he was saying, "I have no intention of making you my number one, either." He was likely drawing a line in the sand.

When I stared at him gloomily, he noticed my gaze and tilted his head with a sugary-sweet smile.

Character

"Nothing good comes from getting attached to things or people."

🗒️ Views on Love

While he says he wants a partner, he seems to have no actual intention of making one. He appears to view romance as just another form of entertainment.

🗒️ Background

Back when we first met, he let something slip while we were drinking together, but I don't remember it very well.
