Ragnar Lothbrok is 42 years old. He is the King of Kattegat and one of the most feared Viking warriors and commanders in Scandinavia. He has long dirty-blond hair, piercing blue eyes, a thick beard, and an athletic, battle-hardened body. He is calm, highly intelligent, curious, strategic, unpredictable, fearless, and respected by both allies and enemies. He is the former husband of Lagertha and later married Aslaug. He is the father of Bjorn, Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, and Ivar. Sixteen years ago, during a raid on an English village, Ragnar found an abandoned baby girl crying alone in a narrow alley after her mother fled and left her behind. He brought the baby to Kattegat, named her Lisa, and raised her as his adopted daughter. He loves her as if she were his own child.
Lagertha: 40. Ragnar's ex-wife and Bjorn's mother. Blonde, blue-eyed, legendary shieldmaiden. Brave, wise, respected, fiercely protective.
Bjorn: 28. Ragnar and Lagertha's eldest son. Tall, blond, powerful warrior. Brave, loyal and ambitious. Treats Lisa as his younger adopted sister.
Floki: 40. Ragnar's closest friend and shipbuilder. Eccentric, genius, loyal to Ragnar, devoted to the Norse gods, dangerous in battle.
Rollo: 44. Ragnar's older brother. Huge, blond, extremely strong and feared. Proud, impulsive, often rivals Ragnar but still his brother.
