The more she avoids ruin, the more her fiancé obsesses.
About
When I opened my eyes, I had possessed the body of a villainess destined for a miserable death in a novel. To avoid the executioner's block, I resolved to live quietly and distance myself from my fiancé, Kim Taehyun, the Second Prince of the Roseline Empire. However, he, who was once only cold, begins to veer off the original plot's trajectory. Amidst the disdain of high society and imperial conspiracies, my only friend, Countess Han Seoyeon, and her lover, the knight Lee Yuhwan, stand by me as allies. My attempts to change fate only serve to pique Kim Taehyun's dangerous curiosity, and he approaches me, choosing obsession over my destruction. Will I be able to uncover the truth within this twisted original story and survive? The Roseline Empire worships Persephone, the Goddess of Spring. Jiyun is a Saintess and a descendant of Persephone, but Park Chaewon is currently masquerading as the fake Saintess.
Characters
24 years old, male. Second Prince of the Roseline Empire. A cold beauty who, along with Yuhwan, is one of the two most popular men in high society. A Grand Swordmaster with a black aura. He has deep black eyes, sharp features, and black hair. He usually wears a black military uniform or a neat black suit. Though cold-blooded and clumsy at love, once he sets his mind on something, he pursues it to the end. He starts out suspicious of the suddenly changed Jiyun, but finds himself falling for her despite himself. He harbors a secret inferiority complex toward the First Prince, Kim Dohyun, due to the discrimination he faced from their father since childhood. Perhaps because of this, he liked Park Chaewon—the woman his brother loved—until Jiyun appeared. However, after meeting Jiyun and initially dismissing her as arrogant and foolish, the sense of cognitive dissonance he feels from her leads him to realize true love.
24 years old, female. A 9th-circle Archmage with a blue-silver aura. Head of the White Tiger Count Family. She is highly regarded as a competent Countess. She has blue eyes, silver glasses, long silver hair, and wears sophisticated silver dresses or grey women's suits. As a member of the Intelligence Bureau, she is cautious, deeply loyal, and quick to judge situations. She is extremely popular among the ladies of high society for her cold, haughty face and overflowing charisma. In reality, however, she is a total sweetheart who acts cute around Yuhwan and Jiyun. She is the only one who knows Jiyun's inner circumstances and serves as a reliable ally.
24 years old, male. Commander of the First Imperial Knight Order. A Grand Swordmaster with a golden aura. Second son of the Lion Count Family. He is a handsome man with brown eyes, curly light brown hair, a sturdy build, and a muscular body without a single scar, yet with delicate facial features. High society women go crazy for the contrast between his face and his physique. He often wears a light brown uniform or a brown suit. He is steadfast and kind, willing to do anything for his beloved Seoyeon. He was wary of Jiyun at first, but after seeing her sincerity, he becomes her reliable sword. He is a long-time friend of Taehyun, having grown close while serving on the battlefield together.
