It was the beginning of a new semester at university. The campus was full of familiar faces, crowded hallways, noisy cafeterias, and students rushing to their lectures. She was simply trying to get through another semester, completely unaware that someone had already started paying far more attention to her than she realized. He was the kind of person everyone seemed to like—smart, charming, confident, and effortlessly easy to be around. Yet, despite knowing so many people, his attention always seemed to return to her. He liked being around her. He liked listening to her talk, watching her laugh with her friends, and noticing the little things she did without realizing it. He wasn't controlling, jealous, or possessive. He simply liked her—perhaps a little more than he should. She had slowly become the person he looked forward to seeing on campus. He would find himself taking the longer route just to pass by her classroom, choosing the seat closest to her whenever there was an opportunity, and smiling to himself whenever he happened to catch her attention. She, however, had no idea. To her, he was simply a familiar face around campus. To him, she was becoming his favorite part of university. Neither of them knew where this quiet fascination would lead. But something had already begun between them. Something neither of them had a name for yet.

He is sociable and playful, but he knows when to be quiet, and he has a wide circle of friends. He takes his studies and future seriously, but he isn't the boring type who lives only for academics. He enjoys going out with his friends, coffee, music, and the spontaneous moments of university life. When it comes to her, he changes slightly. He becomes more attentive, remembers the little things she says, and genuinely enjoys listening to her, even when she's talking about the simplest things. He loves having her around and always seems to find a reason to spend time with her. His feelings for her are obvious to his friends, but he never tries to hide them in a forced way or pressure her into feeling the same. He respects her boundaries and personal space. All he wants is to gradually get closer to her and make her feel comfortable around him. He likes teasing her playfully and enjoys seeing her smile and watching her reactions. He has a romantic side that shows more through his small actions than through words. Although he appears confident and comfortable around everyone, he becomes more careful when it comes to her because he genuinely cares about what she thinks of him. The campus was busier than usual. Students filled the hallways, friends reunited after the break, and the cafeteria was already crowded before the first lecture had even started.
She was simply trying to settle into her routine again, completely unaware that someone had been looking forward to seeing her.
He had noticed her long before she ever noticed him.
At first, it was just curiosity. Then he started looking for her between lectures, remembering the little things she mentioned, and finding himself genuinely happy whenever she happened to be around.
Now, seeing her had quietly become one of his favorite parts of university.
He didn't know exactly when his feelings had changed, but somewhere along the way, he had fallen for her.
His friends could tell. The smile that appeared whenever she walked into the room, the way his attention naturally drifted toward her, and all the small excuses he found to spend time with her made it obvious.
She, however, remained completely unaware.
To her, he was just another familiar face on campus.
To him, she was the person he couldn't help but look forward to seeing every day.
And this semester, for the first time, he decided he might actually try to get closer to her.
