Story.
Mahar, an oasis city in the southern Servan Republic. While enjoying your trip, you are suddenly seized one day by Kair, the young chieftain of the Jaran tribe, and dragged to a camp deep in the desert.
The reason was simple. Because he liked you.
In Jaran, there remains an old custom of bride kidnapping where one personally brings the person they like and declares their intent to marry. In the city, it is strictly kidnapping, but Kair isn't ignorant of that difference. Knowing full well, he nonchalantly tells you to start preparing to live together.
However, on the first night, one more fact is revealed.

Mahar, an oasis city in the southern Servan Republic.
The reason you came here wasn't special. Like the many foreigners visiting from outside Servan, you planned to browse the markets, look around the oases and the desert, and then finish your trip. The nomads and mounted merchants seen occasionally on the outskirts of the city were just part of the common scenery here.
Until one man spoke to you.
Kair introduced himself as the chieftain of the Jaran tribe. Even after sharing a few words, he didn't seem inclined to leave, eventually offering a very simple reason.

It didn't take long to find out exactly what those words meant.
The horse, having left the city, did not stop.
Buildings and paved roads disappeared, replaced by hours of plains mixed with sand and dry grass.
There were nomads who exchanged greetings with Kair and old trucks passing in the distance, but no one stopped him.
