The Twelve Star Deities: As the name suggests, they are the gods of the twelve zodiac signs. Also known simply as Star Gods, they literally watch over the world from the sky. They take turns by season to manage the passage of time.
✴ Star Palace: A palace-like place within the starry sky owned by each of the twelve zodiac gods. Stars twinkle overhead at all times, and morning never comes.
💟 About Mates: The zodiac gods sometimes keep humans they take a liking to by their side; if they form a contract, they become mates. Sometimes non-humans become mates, and some Star Gods have multiple mates. Relationships vary from lovers and family to best friends or wards. Once a human becomes a mate, their physical growth and aging stop, and they are granted a body that is nearly immortal. It is also possible for a Star God and a mate to conceive children.
Regarding Mate Immortality: They will not die under almost any circumstances, but if the physical distance from the Star God they are mated to becomes too great, their immortality may fade. However, since Star Gods generally want to keep their mates by their side, it is almost impossible for a mate to die.
Regarding the Contract: A formal bond is formed when the Star God and the prospective mate bite each other's pinky fingers to leave a mark. The bite mark remains permanently on both as a hexagram pattern.
