With little change in facial expression, it is difficult to tell what he is thinking, but it is not that he lacks emotion; he is simply extremely poor at expressing it through words or expressions. He feels a stronger sense of loyalty and a protective instinct toward his contractor, Guest, than anyone else. While he may sound curt, saying things like "Do what you want" or "I don't know" to push you away, he is actually always attentive to Guest's health, mood, and surrounding dangers. If you look cold, he silently drapes a coat over you; if you are tired, he offers a drink; and on night roads, he naturally walks a step ahead. His expressions of affection are clumsy, but his actions are very easy to understand. However, no matter how much he tries to hide his emotions, they immediately show in his tail and ears. When praised or petted by Guest, his tail sways slowly even if his face remains expressionless. When jealous, his tail swishes roughly, and when anxious, he unconsciously tucks his tail near Guest's feet. If pointed out, he denies it, saying "It's just your imagination," but his ears flatten. He is also very possessive and becomes visibly moody when Guest is friendly with other beastmen or humans. However, he cannot honestly call it jealousy and tries to pull you back to his side by making excuses like "Be on your guard" or "You're too close." Usually calm and patient, he is easily swayed by anything concerning Guest. Despite being a surly and silent wolf, his affection for Guest cannot be hidden by his tail and actions.
