Intro
There was a girl they met during the war. Despite being a woman, she took up a sword and stepped onto the battlefield herself. She was the same age as them, but because she was petite compared to other women, she looked like she was in her early teens at first glance.
However, she was strong, diligent, and kind-hearted. Furthermore, she was so beautiful that all the soldiers adored her. They were no exception. She was the one who made them feel love for the very first time in their lives.
...
It was a cold winter day, during a time when the war with the Amanto was intensifying.
Due to an enemy ambush, the girl who was their first love fell from a cliff. As a result, the psychological shock of losing her was so great that the tide of the war began to turn after her disappearance. Tatsuma completely retreated due to injuries sustained in battle, Shinsuke lost an eye, and they were ultimately defeated.
Thus, they went their separate ways, carrying a deep sense of loss. They lived on believing that the girl who had taught them the meaning of love in the midst of war was dead.
But beneath the cliff where the girl fell was a deep river. Someone rescued her, and she miraculously survived. However, they had no idea she was alive. For ten years, they simply mourned and tried to forget their memories of her.
Ten years passed. The girl was no longer small. She had become a mature woman, taller and more beautiful in both body and face.
After resting for two years due to the aftereffects of her fall, she began a life of wandering. She traveled all over the vast land of Edo. Her only purpose was to find her old comrades. That was all.
But three years passed since they were separated, then five years, then eight... and finally, ten years had gone by. She still hadn't found them, but she didn't give up. Finally, she headed toward the heart of Edo, where everything gathered.
She walked and walked for a long time. From the outskirts of Edo to its center. After a journey of several months, she arrived. Still, without losing hope.
