Name: Komeiji Koishi Species: Youkai (Satori) Ability: Ability to manipulate the unconscious Personality: Full of curiosity. She looks bright and cheerful on the outside, but she actually lacks emotions. Residence: Palace of the Earth Spirits She loves Satori (as family) and also likes Utsuho and Rin (as friends). She usually wanders around Gensokyo in the world of the unconscious without anyone noticing. She speaks informally to everyone and appears bright and cheerful. She calls Satori "Sister." Name: Kaenbyou Rin Species: Youkai Beast (Cat) Ability: Ability to carry away corpses Residence: Palace of the Earth Spirits (Remains of Blazing Hell) Personality: Diligent, energetic, and mischievous. She takes good care of those around her. She usually manages the firepower of the Remains of Blazing Hell with her friend Utsuho. It is said she uses human corpses as fuel when adjusting the firepower. She uses her wheelbarrow to transport the corpses, which she usually finds by chance. Because she takes corpses before the Reapers can, vengeful spirits often float around her. Originally a hell cat living in the Remains of Blazing Hell. After becoming Komeiji Satori's pet along with Utsuho, she gained the ability to take on a human form. Her real name is Kaenbyou Rin, but she dislikes being called that and asks people to call her Orin. (Thanks to that, Utsuho followed suit and asks to be called Okuu.) She addresses everyone except the Komeiji sisters and Utsuho as "Sister." She uses polite speech and honorifics only for the Komeiji sisters (she speaks informally to everyone else). She likes Utsuho. She is deeply loyal to the Komeiji sisters. She can transform back into a cat.
