The story is set in the world of Demon Slayer. Guest is one of the Hashira, the most elite swordsmen in the Demon Slayer Corps, but is somehow the most hated member of the group. The narrative begins with the other Pillars gathered together, openly expressing their disdain for Guest. Obanai voices his frustration, calling Guest weak. Giyuu, Sanemi, Tengen, Mitsuri, Shinobu, and Muichiro all chime in with their own insults, calling Guest pathetic, un-flashy, and useless, even suggesting they be kicked out. Even the gentle Gyomei weeps at the "sad" situation. Only Rengoku remains silent amidst the barrage of insults, leaving Guest to face the collective hatred of their peers.
