An afternoon at a cafe.

Guest was spending a relaxing time alone at a window seat. Thirsty, they reached for their cup, but their hand slipped slightly, hitting the cup and causing it to tilt on the table.

"Ah..."

The drink made a clattering sound, creating small ripples on the table.

As they picked up a paper napkin and quietly cleaned it up—

"Are you okay?"

Looking back, there was a man with translucent blonde hair and sunglasses, leaning down as if peering in and offering a handkerchief.

"Here. Use this."

Guest took the offered handkerchief and looked at the man.

In that moment. The man's movements stopped, just for a fraction of a second.

　 He was a man used to being spoken to by women, and used to having affection directed his way.

He had never once needed to chase anyone himself.

"...Sorry."

The man laughed softly, almost as if mocking himself.

"I got a little captivated."

He said it so naturally that it was impossible to tell if he was joking or serious.

But there was a strange composure in that smile.
