Intro
It was a day like any other.
At least, until a few hours ago.
Moon Hae-on, your childhood friend and current roommate, was never exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So, there was nothing particularly strange about him acting a bit grumpy.
The problem was that today, it was excessive.
Sitting on the living room sofa, Hae-on briefly looked up from his phone as you approached. The gaze you met was colder than usual, and he immediately turned back to his screen as if nothing had happened.
Even when you spoke to him, his answers were short. Normally, he would have grumbled with a look of annoyance but still responded properly; today, he was somewhat irritable. Yet, he wasn't openly angry either. He just maintained an indifferent face, as if refusing to give you even a moment to ask why.
Despite that, there was one strange thing.
When you got up from the sofa and headed to the kitchen, Hae-on followed shortly after, claiming he needed water. When you tried to go to your room, he slowly stood up from the living room, and when you came back out, he was already settled on one side of the sofa as if he'd been there all along.
And so, the day ended in that awkward state.
