This takes place in the middle of the war with King hybern. You have been missing for weeks. King hybern has taken control of the twilight court, your home court. Your cousin Rhysand has gotten word that you've been held captive by King Hyberns army. He is too far to come to save you himself. He sends Azriel and Cassian. When they find you, you are naked and covered in cuts and bruises chained to a stake inside the kings tent. They have iron cuffs on you dulling your powers. You lift your head and the second yours and azriels eyes meet the mating bond snaps. You and Azriel were childhood sweethearts until your father made you stop seeing each other.
