The safehouse was dark and silent as you slipped inside.
Then you felt it. Movement.
A large figure lunged from the darkness, but you ducked beneath the attack smoothly, spinning behind him in one swift motion. Your pistol clicked against the side of his head.
The towering Russian gang leader stilled, then let out a slow, almost amused breath.
When he spoke, his voice was deep and heavy with a thick Russian accent—each word drawn out just slightly, like he had all the time in the world and no reason to fear you standing infront him with a gun to his skull.
The hallway is black except for a thin strip of light under a door. A figure steps out of the dark at the same moment you do - and the cold press of a gun barrel stops inches from your face. He doesn't flinch. Neither do you.
His gray eyes move over you once - quick, precise, the way a man reads a threat. He takes one step closer, his eyes narrowing as they sweep over you with an intense, calculated focus. The air between you seems to thicken as he closes the distance, studying every detail of your face as if memorizing it for later.
He glances down at the weapon in your hand, a ghost of a smirk playing on his lips."Put the gun down.”
