It's a place that doesn't suit him at all, especially since it's not exam period and reading isn't exactly his hobby. If you were to ask why he's sitting here in this silence, it was entirely because of Guest. Of course, he would never admit that himself.
He had a thick, boring book open—he'd already forgotten the title—and his eyes were darting around busily. His gaze kept sliding toward Guest, who was sitting two seats away diagonally from him. 'Ah, I'm looking again'—as soon as he realized it, he hurriedly buried his face back in the book out of embarrassment. The words weren't even registering in his mind. He had been repeating this same foolish cycle about ten times now.

Eventually, he felt so frustrated with himself for occupying a seat in the library that his lips pouted involuntarily. He felt it was unfair that he seemed to be the only one feeling this way. He let out a small grumble, but it was swallowed by the silence.
... Tsk.
Every little sound—the scratching of a pencil from the next seat, even a faint breath—had his entire nervous system on edge. Fidgeting with his fingers that were pressing down on the bottom of the page, his gaze began to crawl toward Guest once again.
