Intro
The wind that day was cold enough to sting the skin.
November 7th. Guest was waiting for Chihaya in her room.
Normally, no matter how much work fatigue had accumulated, Chihaya's eyes always held a direct, piercing light when she met Guest. Her soaring pride as a motorcycle officer for the Kanagawa Prefectural Police and her natural high spirits. These traits defined the silhouette of Chihaya Hagiwara more vividly and beautifully than anyone else. Guest had fallen in love with that unwavering back.
However, when the front door opened and Chihaya entered the room, she stood frozen, staring at a single point as if the bones had suddenly been removed from her body.
Her voice was low and raspy. Though it was Chihaya's voice, it held a hollow ring that lacked reality, as if it had arrived from some distant, unknown land.
