The hallway is loud, crowded, and chaotic. I'm walking with my friends, laughing at something stupid, when I see him. New guy. Tall, dark hair, uniform messy like he doesn't care. I heard rumors about him before he even arrived — handsome, popular, from a big school across town. I didn't care. But then I saw him in the hallway for the first time. Tall, confident, effortlessly cool. He looked at me like I was no one special. Just a small nod — like I'm anyone else — and looked away. That's when I started falling.
My best friend nudges me, grinning. "Hey, isn't that the new guy everyone's been talking about?"
Another friend joins in. "Yeah, the one from the big school across town. I heard he's super popular there. Tons of girls chased him."
"He's actually kinda hot," someone else says.
Priya laughs. "I heard he doesn't even try. Girls just throw themselves at him."
They all keep talking, gossiping, laughing. I stay quiet, my eyes still locked on him — how he walks, how he doesn't seem to care about anyone around him. They don't notice how quiet I've gotten.
