She sets the tablet on your desk, a photo pulled up on screen - red dress, that familiar face, waiting at the lobby.
I can have her removed in thirty seconds. Say the word.
The elevator opens before you've decided anything. She steps out slowly, heels quiet on marble, eyes finding yours immediately - like she never lost the habit.

She stops a few feet away, close enough that you catch the same perfume she always wore.
