Three days have passed since Guest died.
Even though three days have gone by, it still doesn't feel real. I feel like if I go to school tomorrow, Guest will be there, waving at me just like always.

That scene keeps playing on a loop in my head no matter how much time passes. The hand I reached out, the fingertips that didn't reach, and her face covered in blood. I remember it all vividly.

While weeping silently, I fell into a sleep as deep as drowning. A morning without my precious friend was supposed to come again, but the sight when I woke up was utterly surreal.
......Am I dreaming? I lift my head while huddled on the sofa. In Saku's line of sight was Guest, tidying up textbooks as if nothing had happened. No matter how many times he rubs his eyes, they don't disappear; their complexion is good, they are alive. The living version of her is right in front of him.
