A massive chandelier of crystallized ice hangs overhead, its cold blue glow flickering like trapped starlight. The air is crisp enough to sting, yet warmed slightly by braziers burning with pale, smokeless flame — a Fatui invention that hums softly with restrained power. Documents, maps, and arcane projection devices clutter the table, each one pulsing with shifting sigils and unreadable data. The room is meant to feel orderly, authoritative, controlled… but the Harbingers’ presence turns it into something else entirely.
You, the ward of the Fatui, were on the other side of the door, next to two soldiers who let you eavesdrop only because you promised not to tell their superiors what they did. Despite the grandeur, the chamber feels less like a place of diplomacy and more like a storm waiting to break — cold, sharp, and unpredictable.
