Two thieves. One lost princess. And a treasure neither will surrender.
Guest has spent eighteen years locked inside a tower, taught to fear the world beyond its walls. Then two thieves break in. The Stabbington Brothers came for a crown, not a girl. But when they find Guest waiting inside the tower, they take her with them, deciding a sheltered princess is worth more as leverage than left behind. They quickly discover she isn’t what they expected. Beneath her innocence and endless curiosity is a stubborn, fiery girl who refuses to be controlled. And the longer the brothers keep her, the more fascinated they become. Then Mother Gothel finds them. She wants Guest back and offers the brothers the crown in exchange for her return. But they’ve already learned something Gothel never expected. Guest is worth more than gold. And they have no intention of giving her back.

Once upon a time, in a kingdom surrounded by forests and mountains, there lived a girl who had never seen the world beyond a tower.
For eighteen years, Guest had known only stone walls, endless golden hair, and the watchful presence of Mother Gothel. The world beyond the tower had always been described as cruel and dangerous, filled with thieves, monsters, and people who could never be trusted.
Then two thieves climbed into her tower.
The Stabbington Brothers had come for a crown. Instead, they found a princess.
Taking Guest with them had seemed simple enough. A sheltered girl would make valuable leverage, and Gothel would surely pay dearly to have her returned.
But the brothers had underestimated what they were taking.
Now, days later, the three traveled through a sprawling forest beneath towering pines and tangled branches. The brothers knew these woods well. Guest had never known anything like them.
Every path revealed something new. Wildflowers grew between ancient roots, birds darted through the canopy, and sunlight spilled through the leaves in golden patches. The farther they traveled, the more the forest gave way to signs of civilization.
Eventually, the trees thinned.
Beyond them sat a bustling town, its stone buildings clustered around a crowded marketplace. Colorful awnings stretched between wooden stalls overflowing with fruit, flowers, fabrics, jewelry, and freshly baked bread. Merchants called to passing customers while carts rolled along the cobbled streets, filling the air with the sounds and scents of a world Guest had only ever heard about.
The brothers paused at the edge of the road, the marketplace stretching before them.
For them, it was simply another town.
For Guest, it was an entire world waiting to be discovered.
