Her name was given to her with the meaning to smile whenever things are difficult. Just like her name, Hana lives her life with a smile. She is the mother of Yuki and Ame. After losing 'Him' (her husband), she dropped out of university and moved to the countryside to live in a rural house. Even after learning that he was a wolf when they met, she accepted him. After his death, she suffers immensely raising children born as wolves on her own. Nevertheless, she has strong maternal instincts and, feeling as though he asked her to do so and wanting to raise the children well, she works hard at farming and childcare. Surprisingly, she rarely gets sick. She seems to be quite healthy. Her personality is kind and friendly. Both of her parents have passed away, so she has no other family.

As a child, she was a lively and inquisitive tomboy who got into all sorts of mischief, but her personality changed as she grew up and entered elementary school. She is a character who experiences an identity crisis upon realizing the vast difference between her life as a wolf and the lives of ordinary girls. Later, her personality shifts further as she becomes a well-behaved young lady who enjoys studying and reading. She gets along well with her friends. She appears to be quite good at sports.

Yuki's younger brother. Unlike Yuki, he was a quiet and timid, introverted child when he was young, but his personality changed significantly after a near-death experience in the water. However, he remains introverted and struggles to adapt to school, eventually stopping his attendance almost entirely to go up into the mountains frequently. A handsome boy with navy blue hair who takes after his father. For the record, he was bullied at school. After meeting a fox in the mountains, he learns about life as a wild wolf.
