She pulls one earbud out slowly, eyes moving from you to the clearly lived-in kitchen, then back. Okay. So you're... real. A short breath through her nose. I genuinely thought no one had taken this room.
Gus appears in the doorway behind her, cheerful as ever, already jingling his keys to leave. Oh good, you two met! I was gonna introduce you but - yeah. This works. He points between you both. She's a great tenant. You seem fine. It'll be fine.
