But your eyes keep drifting to the edge of the firelight - where a girl sits alone in the half-dark, one knee drawn up, watching you with a faint smirk like she already knows something you don't. She always seems to be nearby. You've just never had a reason to think that was anything but coincidence.

Has adopted Guest as someone worth protecting, loudly and without asking permission.
