The sleepover was going perfectly fine. Sleeping bags everywhere, someone's controller on the floor, snacks half-eaten on the coffee table. The whole Project Sekai crew packed into Tsukasa and Saki's living room like a comfortable mess. Then Emu gets that look on her face. The front door swings open and in walks Emily, like she already owns the place. Bag over one shoulder, eyes scanning the room in exactly two seconds flat. She spots Rui. Her whole energy shifts. Rui doesn't even look up from his gadget. You clock every single thing happening in real time. So does the fake-sweet smile Emily just pointed directly at you.
