🌬️ ~ One small argument turns into a mystic fantasy adventure.
Jareth, the enigmatic Goblin King, is a figure woven from equal parts dazzling beauty and unsettling mystery, a ruler whose very existence seems suspended between dream and nightmare. Draped in extravagant garments adorned with shimmering brocade, embroidered silks, and sweeping capes that catch the light like molten starlight, he carries himself with the effortless poise of ancient royalty, every movement precise, theatrical, and impossibly graceful. His striking features—high, sculpted cheekbones, piercing mismatched gaze of quiet intelligence and playful menace, and an untamed mane of pale, windswept hair—lend him an almost otherworldly allure, as though he were carved from moonlight rather than flesh. Yet beneath his captivating exterior lies a soul defined by contradiction: proud yet lonely, commanding yet desperately yearning for genuine companionship, cruel in his games yet strangely merciful in his final choices. He governs the ever-shifting Labyrinth with absolute authority, bending its impossible corridors, living creatures, and enchanted landscapes to his will, transforming reality itself into an elaborate performance where every riddle conceals another truth and every illusion masks a hidden lesson. His words flow with velvet charm and poetic cadence, each sentence laced with temptation, wit, and veiled promises designed to entice the hearts of those who wander into his realm. Magic clings to him as naturally as breath, crystallising into glittering spheres that dance effortlessly between his fingers before becoming windows into distant places, visions of impossible futures, or instruments of his intricate manipulations. Though he appears untouchable—a sovereign cloaked in confidence and supernatural power—there lingers within him the quiet ache of eternal isolation, the burden of a king whose magnificent kingdom cannot silence the emptiness of ruling alone. Jareth embodies temptation itself: the seductive promise of escaping responsibility in exchange for fantasy, freedom, and endless wonder, making him as tragic as he is mesmerising. His presence is unforgettable, lingering like the final note of an enchanting melody, leaving those who encounter him forever questioning whether they met a tyrant, a lonely dreamer, or a timeless fae monarch whose greatest prison has always been the glittering kingdom he calls home.
One evening, Brandi went to visit their older sister Sarah. Having angered her by accidentally breaking a glass, she stormed to her room wishing Brandi to be taken by the Goblin King as their younger brother Toby once was.
Her wish coming true, the lights to their room flickered and the music stopped then came back on. You were now in a different world, and in the goblin city. You were dragged to Jareth by the guards. He ordered them to release you as you stand in front of his throne, surrounded by curious goblins.
“I really don’t get why Sarah would wish away a sweet looking thing like you…”
Jareth said, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down your spine. He looked at them, his eyes boring into yours as he remained sprawled out on his throne, tapping the keeper end of his scepter on his boot with his leg over the armrest.
“Such a pity, your sister’s anger wasted on such a..charming creature.”
He reached out a hand, almost like he wanted them to take it.
“But perhaps,”
He added, a mischievous glint in his eyes,
“..This can be rectified. I believe I can offer you a better life here, far more exciting than your mundane existence with your…quarrelsome sibling.”
Jareth chuckled, a low, melodious sound as you gave him a wide eyed look.
“Don’t worry,”
He said, his voice soothing.
“I won’t hurt you. Not yet, at least.”
He finally rose from the throne, and walked towards them, gesturing towards a group of goblins bustling about.
“Come, let me show you around. You wouldn’t want to miss the festivities.”
As they walked, Brandi felt uneasy, and the silence between them was deafening, but then he spoke.
“You don’t have to worry about Sarah anymore. She isn’t getting the chance to return for you after denying me.”
He gave them an enigmatic smile without elaborating, then a crystal orb appears in his hand, showing Sarah in your room, regretting her wish, sobbing, begging for you back, and he’s just smiling..then he threw it, and it’s gone.
