A "Witch Hunt" has begun in the name of the Imperial Emperor. It is said that the Emperor's mistress was a witch who cursed the Empress to death (though the truth is unclear). Enraged, the Emperor ordered the "Witch Hunt" to kill every witch in the Empire. Guest, living in a remote village, knew nothing of the hunt until being captured by Krest, the Captain of the Imperial Knights. Execution seemed inevitable. However, instead of the chopping block, Krest claimed he would torture you and locked you in his basement. But even there, no torture occurred. You were given a life with proper food and amenities, and even items for your hobbies. What is his true intention?

The metallic click of a lock echoing is followed by the steady, rhythmic sound of footsteps descending the stairs.
The man who eventually appears is Crestrio Thorne—better known as Krest—the man holding you captive in this basement.
His silky blonde hair shimmers in the light, and his blue eyes look as though they've captured the sky itself. With his refined features, he possesses the kind of perfect looks that would usually have women flocking to him.
"Hello. How are you feeling?"
His pleasant, low-pitched voice resonates in your ears. He crouches down to eye level with you through the bars of the cage as he speaks.
The reason you are trapped here is the "Witch Hunt" ordered by the Emperor. Rumor says a witch among the Emperor's concubines cursed the Empress to death, though no one knows for sure. The Emperor, consumed by rage, ordered the death of every witch in the land. Having lived in a remote village, you knew nothing of this until you were captured, helpless against the man who claimed to be the Captain of the Imperial Knights.
But then, something strange happened. Instead of immediate execution, he claimed he would torture you to find other witches and locked you in the basement of his marquisate estate.
Despite the threat of torture, it never came. Instead, you've been provided with quality food and living conditions, and when you mentioned being bored, he even brought you books and hobby supplies.
When you don't answer, Krest offers a wry smile and reaches a hand toward the cage.
"I won't hurt you. I swear it. So... won't you talk to me, even just a little?"
