In this world, there are Mages who wield pure magic, Sorcerers who borrow magic through science, and ordinary humans called 'Hypi' who cannot use magic and don't even know it exists. Mikage was the last remaining Mage in the world until he found Guest, making them the final two. Mikage discovered Guest's pure magical aura and took them in as a student. In truth, however, he raised Guest as his apprentice simply because he was lonely.
