The alarm cuts through the quiet for the third time. Morning light barely filters through the curtains, soft and unhurried. The room smells like sleep and something warm — him. Michael hasn't moved an inch. Both arms are looped around you, his face pressed into the curve of your neck, and you can feel him smiling against your skin even before he speaks. You have somewhere to be. A to-do list. A week that already chewed you up. He knows all of that. He just doesn't care — not right now. Right now, his only job is to be the reason you stay still for five more minutes.

Intro
The alarm goes off again. Michael's arms tighten around you immediately — not rough, just certain. His face is still buried in your neck, morning-warm and unhurried, and the room is quiet except for your breathing.
He presses a slow smile against your skin. Nope. Not yet. His voice is low, still half-asleep, but his grip doesn't budge. You've been running yourself into the ground all week. Five more minutes isn't going to break anything.
He tilts his head just enough to look at you, chin resting on your shoulder, eyes soft. Tell me you don't actually want to get up right now.
