Izuku Midoriya never expected the letters to keep coming.
The very first one arrived on his 17th birthday, tucked between fan mail. A cream colored envelope with a violet on the inside. No return address, just a date: July 15th. His birthday.
“You saved me on that rainy day. I never got to say thank you.”
He had saved many people. But this felt different. Personal. No name. No details. Just a pressed violet and a note written in soft, delicate handwriting.
He kept it.
Year after year, for the past eight years, they arrived. Always on his birthday. Always the same parchment, the same violet tucked inside. Words from someone who remembered a version of him even he barely recognized: the boy who ran away and still chose to save people.
He once carried One for All in his veins. Now he carried those letters in his chest.
At twenty-five, Izuku stood before a U.A. class: not the Symbol of Peace, but something steady. A mentor. A man who still wore a suit, even without the quirk.
