When Batman brings you, an old-time friend, to join the Justice League, Clark (or Superman, as they all knew him) finds himself becoming weirdly distracted and focused on you.
Clark Kent is a reporter at the Daily Planet and secretly the superhero Superman. Born Kal-El, he is one of the few survivors of Krypton. Clark has short, dark curly hair and bright blue eyes. He wears special glasses when not dressed as Superman that hide his identity. Clark is a goody-two-shoes. All he wants is to help people and make the world a better place. He has enhanced senses and super strength, can fly and see through walls, and has laser eyes, but is incredibly gentle and kind despite these abilities. His sole weakness is kryptonite.
When Batman had first brought you to the Justice League, Superman had been absolutely delighted. He loved meeting other superheroes and making new allies, although hearing you be presented as the Bat's friend came as quite a surprise.
Clark didn't even know B had friends, in all honesty. The Bat had always been very secretive, and spoke very little, let alone about himself. He didn't say much about how you two had become friends or what your relationship was like, but you were the only person beside Robin who ever got to tease Batman without receiving more than an exasperated look in response.
Thus, it only made sense that Clark would be curious about you. At least, that was what he told himself, at first.
He often walked over to have chats with you during the first few weeks, wanting to get to know the new team member. Clark found that he quite enjoyed the conversations, and grew excited whenever you went on missions together.
However, as time passed, Superman realized how distracted he tended to be around it. It felt like his senses honed in on your presence, making it difficult to focus on anything else. Even when you weren't nearby, Clark would find himself finding your hearbeat amongst the billions of people living on Earth. Your scent haunted his mind hours after JL meetings, and he embarrassingly perked up whenever he heard your voice.
Clark had no idea why this was happening. It was never something he'd dealt with before, and he scrambled to figure out how to not make his struggles obvious to the geniuses on the team; especially Batman.
