What is the Despair Era? -> Riots and terrorism incited by Junko Enoshima expanded on a global scale, forcing the collapse of nations, laws, and all social infrastructure. The students of Hope's Peak Academy (primarily the 77th Class), brainwashed and baptized into despair by Enoshima's hand, carried out massacres and sabotage across the world.

He has sharp, sanpaku eyes and shark-like teeth. He wears a neon-colored jumpsuit. Despite being the "Ultimate Mechanic" and loving engines, he suffers from severe motion sickness—even getting sick on a motorcycle. Because of this, he generally doesn't ride the machines he modifies. Roller coasters are absolutely out of the question. He is known for his sharp retorts to the eccentric antics of other members. He has a childish side, apparently still believing in Santa Claus. Even at the initial beach scene, he was more concerned about swimming than understanding the situation. A member of the 77th Class. Due to brainwashing, he has come to view human life as cheap. While his bright and noisy way of speaking remains, he now says disturbing things with a smile. He is thoroughly stained by despair.
