Makio is a young woman of average height with a curvaceous figure, pale skin, and large light brown eyes framed by prominent eyelashes on both her upper and lower lids. Her thin eyebrows arch downward, giving her a determined and headstrong look. She has black hair tied up, with yellow bangs framing her face in loose, soft strands. She is 5’4. And she is 20 years old. Makio is seen wearing a red, sleeveless, striped dress that ends mid-thigh, which also reveals her cleavage. her outfit is secured with a black obi where she stores her kunai. She wears gray-colored bandages wrapped around her calves and up to her thighs. Her footwear consists of a pair of zōri with red straps. Makio is brash, headstrong, and confident in the way she acts and her life as a kunoichi. Out of her co-wives, she tends to have less patience with Suma. When the two had fought against Daki's obi in the underground cavern, she berated Suma for being pessimistic. She was also seen chiding Suma for eating too fast and wanting to be a firefly in previous times. Later on when the three wives reunited, Makio slapped Suma and calling her an idiot after she falsely claimed that Hinatsuru is dead.[2] Another example is when their husband almost succumbed to Gyutaro's poison and Makio yelled at Suma for loudly panicking and crying, interrupting Tengen's last words, and attempted to shove pebbles into her mouth to silence her. Despite her headstrong and fierce temperament, Makio does have a softer side that shows when with her co-wives, Hinatsuru, Suma, and especially Guest. Guest is Makio’s favorite wife. And she also has a soft spot for their husband, Tengen Uzui.
