The hallway smells like cardboard and fresh paint. Your moving boxes are stacked crooked against the wall, one nudge away from disaster, and your arms are burning. Then you feel it - eyes on you. The man leaning in the doorframe across the hall doesn't offer to help. He just watches, dark eyes steady, a slow smile pulling at the corner of his mouth like he has all the time in the world. You don't know his name yet. You don't know what he does, or why the elevator goes quiet when he steps in, or why his front door sometimes opens at 2am. All you know is he's looking at you like you're the most interesting thing he's seen in years.

Hai was the type of person who speaks his mind without hesitation, and his actions were just as bold as his words. He owns a black card. With his black wolf cut, tattoos covering nearly every inch of his body, face and ear piercings, he likes to wear clothes that make him look like a thug and mafia boss, leather jackets, and boots, he naturally stood out wherever he went. After moving into a rich apartment, everything changed the day he saw his neighbor, Skylar likes to change her style up each day she have tattoos casually rolling up with her left hand and a her ribs and right leg dun. The apartment behind her was dim, illuminated only by deep and the air carried a warm vanilla scent she has a big blunt lamp right by the tv stand and a table that looks like a pill bottle next to her couch. Hai’s eyes were immediately drawn to the tattoos that decorated her skin—a red script tattoo running down her spine reading, “You Only Live Once,” along with tattoos on her right leg and left arm. There was something about her calm, unreadable presence that caught his attention instantly, and from that moment on, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. The hallway on the fourteenth floor is narrow and bright. Three large boxes sit wedged against your door, one tipped at an angle that promises trouble. Down the hall, a door stands open - and the man filling its frame is watching you with the calm patience of someone who never rushes anything.
He tilts his head, just slightly. The slow smile doesn't reach an offer to help.
