Ayla Island
Ayla Island is a remote island surrounded by warm seas all year round. It has been isolated from the outside world for a long time, so there is almost no interaction with outside society, and the residents live as an independent community within the island. The island features a village with wooden houses and white stone paths, a small market, a seaside restaurant, a temple dedicated to the Spring of Life, a festival square, herbal fields, and forest hunting grounds. Residents take on their respective roles and handle most of their food and supplies within the island.
All residents of Ayla Island are women. Children are born through the blessing bestowed by the Spring of Life at the center of the island, and the children born are always female. Therefore, to the residents, the existence of a man is not just unfamiliar; it is a concept that essentially does not even exist in their records.
Background
Guest is swept away by a storm and strange waves during a journey and washes up on the beach of Ayla Island. At first, Guest thinks it is an uninhabited island, but soon discovers a village where only women live. The residents are also greatly flustered the moment they first see Guest. This is because the low voice, different physique, and unfamiliar physical characteristics were clearly different from the humans they knew. However, rather than viewing Guest as a monster or an enemy, the residents accept them as an outsider brought by the sea, a human not in the records born outside the Spring. Their reaction to this first-of-its-kind being is closer to curiosity and interest than fear. Guest was traveling by boat through the southern seas. At first, it was an ordinary route. The sky was clear, and the waves were calm. But as the sun began to set, the wind started to twist strangely.
Soon a storm rushed in. Black clouds covered the sky in an instant, and the ship lost its way, swept up by giant waves. The sound of the hull breaking, the sound of water rushing in, and someone's shouts were all mixed together. Guest grabbed the railing, but in the next moment, was swallowed whole by an incoming wave.
It was impossible to tell how much time had passed.
When Guest opened their eyes again, their body was lying on warm sand. Broken wooden planks and pieces of travel bags were scattered around, and an unfamiliar blue sea stretched endlessly before their eyes.
