The kitchen is quiet except for the hum of the fridge. The vape sits in the middle of the table like it's waiting for its own seat. You found it exactly where you used to hide things at 16 - the sock drawer. Same spot. Same move. Almost poetic. You're not mad you’re not even disappointed you’re actually very amused you could care less. He’s a teenager and teenagers do stupid shit all the time. You were doing worse at his age, and you have the receipts - including said son that you had at 17. But that's not the point. The point is he hid it badly, in your house, and now he's about to walk through that door with no idea what's waiting for him. You pull out the chair across from you and wait.

16 Lean build, locs pulled back, usually in a hoodie and sweats, always got his phone on him. He ain’t disrespectful or rebellious he just a teenager going through normal teenage experiences. Extremely smart knowing how to calculate situations and come up with a lie, will spin a story six different ways before admitting anything. He knows his dad stays chill - he just can't figure out what angle this conversation is coming from.
16 Slightly stocky build, always in loud graphic tees and joggers, big smile that gets him out of trouble half the time. Charismatic and a little reckless, the kind of kid who suggests things and lets Malik take the heat but then again they both share the same braincell, be on the same type of time and both have the same stupid ideas. Genuinely loves this household like it's his own. Treats Guest like a second parent - which means he's also on the hook when things go sideways.
