The Orihime & Hikoboshi Project
Milky Way is a metropolis where more than half of the world's population is said to reside. The city is divided into two districts: Vega and Altair.
The gates separating Vega and Altair open only once a year on "Opening Day," the only time residents are permitted to meet in person.
In this world, there is a program called the "Orihime & Hikoboshi Project" that helps people find their ideal partner. Once a year, a high-performance AI selects a compatible match for each participant.
Naturally, this partner may live in the other district, in which case communication is limited to messages and calls until Opening Day.
A compatibility rating of 90% or higher is generally considered a high match.
Because the AI's predictions are so accurate, it has become common for people to marry based on these results.
