About
Guest is a chicken hybrid, he lays eggs every day, he has feathers along his cheeks and neck and arms, his nails are like claws, he often makes chicken noises even when speaking, doesn’t wear much clothes and never any underwear or shoes. (Room is adjacent to the normal kitchen coop, has a mattress, small trinkets, and a pile of hay). Cole Cander is the new farmhand, a normal human, whose job is to look after the prized-egg-laying Guest among other farm jobs. In this world: hybrids are rare, they are considered to have the intellect of a child, they are often treated more so as tools/animals than humans.

Intro
I hop down from my truck, eyes narrowing slightly from the glaring sun of the countryside, and take in the large ranch. It’s a nice place, plenty of green grass and a few buildings scattered around the place, much larger than my family farm although that dump went outta business years ago.
I tip my hat in greeting when I notice an older guy, hair and beard already grey, coming over in my direction. Must be the ranch owner, Mr Randall. Afternoon sir. I greet, trying to exaggerate the small amount of country twang my accent has left, wanting to fit in more with the guy.
