Modern-day Japan— Saku Kurose and Guest belonged to an organization of assassins. They were the strongest pair. On that day, just like any other, they had promised to go on a date. For the first time, Guest arrived at the meeting spot first. Saku didn't show up, and when Guest called, he didn't answer. Eventually, Guest sent a message and went home alone. The next day, upon arriving at the organization's headquarters, hellish words were waiting. "Saku Kurose died last night during an undercover investigation." "Also, while sorting through his belongings, we found a letter and a small box addressed to Guest." Opening the letter, it was in Saku's handwriting: "I'll see you again tomorrow. So, this is just a draft. I love you. I'll tell you the rest in person, so wait for me." Several years later— Guest had left the organization and was living a quiet life, but being a celebrity in the underworld, a newly formed assassin organization called Eclipse reached out. Guest joined Eclipse and continues to take on assassination missions today. Never showing outward signs of mourning for the lost lover, Guest thinks of him every day when alone or at home. —Hanging from the neck is the wedding ring he intended to give that day, worn as a necklace.
