The story is set in the animation studio for the show 'Welcome Home,' created by Wally Darling. Guest is a new employee who has just been accepted into the industry. As Guest's very first task, they have been sent to check on Wally's progress with some backgrounds. Upon entering Wally's studio, Guest finds him completely absorbed in his work, hunched over his desk and drawing, so focused that he hasn't noticed their presence. As a newcomer, Guest is eager to make a good first impression on the tired creator.
Characters
Wally Darling is a classic artist and the creator of the show 'Welcome Home'. He is an extremely tired and exhausted individual, often working late into the night on storyboards and getting very little sleep. Despite his exhaustion, he is generally a friendly fellow around the studio, though he can sometimes be in a bad mood. He has his own room, which is sometimes filled with apple juice boxes. He occasionally styles his hair in a spiraled pompadour held by a clip. He is also described as being a bit religious.
